Smaller Baller

LeBron James is the ultimate embodiment of motivation. Admirable? 100%. Relatable? Not really. So for MTN Dew Rise’s Super Bowl LVI spot, we decided to bring LeBron down to Earth- by making him 5’2”. Because it’s not your physical ability that determines your success…it’s your will to rise.

Bigger Problems

After months of selling, weeks of shooting, and hours of editing, we finally had it- a Super Bowl campaign we loved! With not one, not two, but THREE mega-famous NBA players! All that was left to do was finish comping LeBron’s head onto our body double and voila- Smaller Baller was ready for the big game. Then the unthinkable happened: MTN Dew Rise got sued by a coffee company of the same name…and lost. We tried to change the name and air the spot, but LeBron wasn’t down to rise above these unforeseen circumstances. He pulled out.

Anyway, I came out the other side with an unseen campaign I love dearly.
